Dr. Aaisha Makkar

Dr. Aaisha Makkar is a highly accomplished academic and researcher with over a decade of experience in computer science and artificial intelligence. Currently a permanent Lecturer at the University of Derby, UK, Dr. Makkar has an extensive background in cutting-edge research and teaching, having worked with esteemed institutions like Seoul National University of Science and Technology (South Korea) and Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (India).

An awardee of the UK Global Talent Tier-1 recognition by the Royal Society of Engineering, Dr. Makkar has authored and co-authored more than 40 research papers published in high-ranked international journals and conferences.

Dr. Makkar’s expertise aligns perfectly with PharmBot AI’s mission. She is closely associated with the Data Science theme at the University of Derby, one of the university’s six strategic research areas. With a strong record of industry collaboration, Dr. Makkar has delivered innovative AI solutions to tackle complex challenges in healthcare, including projects with Action Against AMD and Erewash Health Partnership.
